Otaku is the result of the meeting of two French geeks raised by Street Fighter and The Legend of Zelda ; Julien was working in the video games industry and dreamt of fashion while Alex was working in the fashion industry and dreamt of video games. Starting from the statement that "geek is chic", they created the first streetwear brand entirely dedicated to video games and geek culture: Otaku.
